Surinam-born Fazal Amin was stabbed in The Hague on Liberation Day 2018 with two other men. The perpetrator is Palestinian Malek F. who fled Syria, who “Allahu akbar‘ called out. The Public Prosecution Service accused Malek of terrorism and demanded 15 years in prison and TBS. But the judge gave him no jail time and “only” TBS.

In July 2019, the judge declared Malek completely insane and talks about a psychosis and delusions. In an extensive interview with Algemeen Dagblad today, 37-year-old Fazal says he doesn’t believe the story of psychosis and delusions.

Against the newspaper he says, “He just lies, his goal was to kill as many people as possible so that he could reach paradise as a martyr. He only picked people who are not paying attention, like me, then you are most likely to kill. And then he later shifts it to a psychosis. ”

Remarkably, the police received an anonymous note in early March warning that F. was planning to commit a terrorist act. The tip was written in English.

Fazal, who is also a Muslim himself and who lived in Suriname until the age of 7, sees the perpetrator as a terrorist and wants him out of the Netherlands. “I have never been able to do anything, now I want to fight back,” said the victim who received eleven knife stabs (photo).

The OM appealed against the decision of the judge. This is due later this year. Read the detailed article in the Algemeen Dagblad: Victim of the Hague-born Malek F. fights back: “His goal was murders, he has to leave the country“.
