The facts took place on Wednesday, July 21. Two brothers, already convicted multiple times for thefts, were arrested and kept in detention, awaiting trial, sent back to early September
Wednesday morning, a young woman was taken ill while she was in the tram, between the Sainte-Croix and Tauzia stops, not far from the station. Two men then acted as rescuers. But now, they are suspected of having taken the opportunity to relieve the victim of his cell phone. The object was also found on one of them.
Kept in detention
Quickly arrested, the two men, brothers aged 46 and 47 who have, respectively, 44 and 18 mentions in their criminal records (mostly for thefts), were referred to the Bordeaux Criminal Court, this Friday, July 23, as part of an immediate appearance procedure. Their trial finally had to be postponed to early September, so that a psychiatric expertise of one of the defendants, under guardianship, could be carried out. In the meantime, the two brothers have been kept in pre-trial detention.
