He would have lured her under threat of a knife to an abandoned house where he would have raped her. Petty, like Hough 16 at the time, was arrested the same day but denied. He later pleaded guilty to attempted rape.

entertainment">Petty has had something with rapper Nicki Minaj since 2018 and according to Hough, the two regularly harass her. She alleges, among other things, that Minaj offered her $500,000 through an intermediary in exchange for recanting her allegations. After declining that offer, Hough said she became the target of harassment, which included threatening phone calls and unsolicited visits.

entertainment">The woman filed a complaint against Petty and Minaj in August, including for intimidating a witness and emotional distress. “I’m done with being scared all the time,” she said in the talk show.

entertainment">Petty has been required to register as a sex offender since his conviction. He failed to do so when he moved to California to live with Minaj. In January he will hear what punishment he will receive.
