Vicente Fox receives backlash from Mexicans in Arizona with shouts of “liar” and “traitor” caught on video.

MEXICO CITY (apro).- “Liar” and “traitor” were the labels former President Vicente Fox received in Phoenix, Arizona, according to a video circulating on social networks.

The man from Guanajuato traveled to the United States to participate in an event to promote the vote for Mexicans abroad, organized by the organization Chicanos por la Causa (CPLC).

In the recording, people are seen rebuking the ex-president, even claiming him for the first escape of drug trafficker Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán during his government.

Vicente Fox only responds by making the “V” gesture for victory that he used during his presidential campaign.

One of the people who yell at him follows him to the compound where he is going to enter and accuses him of enriching himself.

Vicente Fox smiles at him and says goodbye before entering the place where they were already waiting for him.

The former president partnered with the CPLC to promote greater voter participation in both Mexico and the United States, the group noted.
