777 Partner has left control. VascoHowever, poor organization left many consequences. Association clubs were therefore again in charge of football management. In an interview with VascoTV, Felipe Carregal, the association’s legal vice-president, described the scenario seen by President Pedrinho’s administration.

“When we took over the SAF, the situation was very serious and reckless. Because Vasco SAF was born with R$700 million in debt. What should you do if you are the manager of a company that owes you R$700 million? Pay it somehow. They didn’t do this because Vasco was $700 million in debt, there was no new money, and they didn’t want to. Neither from them nor from the previous managers of Vasco SAF, they were not interested in solving Vasco’s problems. And he added:

“You can see what City did in Bahia. With their proactive management, they quickly paid off the club’s debts. Debt is the biggest problem for football clubs. Everyone knows it. Why didn’t you do that? The situation is very serious. What’s worse is that they haven’t been able to repay their debt and they have taken on more debt, which is absolutely ridiculous, and they’ve missed a great opportunity to really solve Vasco’s problem. Because they weren’t interested.” .

To give you an idea, according to the agreement with 777 Partners, Cruz-Maltino’s total debt on April 30, 2022 was R$738,142,485.00. However, the net amount was R$648,490,608.00. In fact, the largest portion of the debt belongs to RCE. It is a system in which creditors, civil affairs, and labor line up to receive repayment in order.

Vasco received a restraining order

In fact, Vasco made a decision through the Rio court last Tuesday (29th) to stop all executions and sentences against the club. Ultimately, this measure protects Cruz-Maltino from possible punishment during that period.
