FAJAR.CO.ID — Vice President (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin will have an office in Papua in early September 2023. Several ministers and the TNI Commander will also be with him.
Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman has issued a warning to all soldiers, especially those serving in Papua. General Dudung asked all soldiers to increase their vigilance.
Vice President (Wapres) decision Ma’ruf Amin will have an office in Papua with a number of ministers to accelerate development efforts and resolve problems faced by the local regional government.
Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman emphasized that all ranks of the TNI will assist the government as a task to prepare Papua to be more advanced
“I told the soldiers to stay alert, then don’t forget to love the people,” said General Dudung after giving a briefing at the Cendrawasih XVII Regional Military Command, Jayapura, Papua, Saturday, August 19, 2023.
Regarding the actions of the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) which often terrorize residents as well as the TNI and Polri, Dudung said that the KKB is our countrymen and brothers, so that the handling is more humane.
Vice President Ma’ruf Amin’s plan to have an office in Papua was conveyed by Vice Presidential spokesperson Masduki Baidlowi after a meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) Muhadjir Effendy, on Friday, 18 August 2023.
Ma’ruf Amin, as chairman of the Papua Steering Committee, visited Papua last July. From 11 to 17 July, Ma’ruf Amin visited Central Papua, West Papua and Southwest Papua. (between/dawn)
