Sleman –
Wapres Ma’ruf Amin ask the public who move select to be active in managing the change of voting location. Ma’ruf said this needed to be done so that people could still exercise their right to vote.
“So I hope the community is proactive and of course, community figures can spread the word more, and there is still one week, and don’t choose not to vote,” said Ma’ruf, in Prambanan, Sleman Regency, DIY, Tuesday (9/1 /2024).
Ma’ruf said that the rules for moving to vote had been widely socialized. He also said that the public had been given the convenience to exercise their right to vote, one example of which was by choosing to use an ID card.
“I think there are already rules that those who haven’t registered can use an ID card, if they move to one place they can just use an ID card, I think that means there will be no difficulty in choosing. Regarding the socialization, I think it’s been quite massive,” said Ma’ruf.
Ma’ruf said that there would be losses for people who did not exercise their right to vote. One of them is aspirations that are not channeled.
“First, of course, his aspirations were not channeled, later he, for example, if he didn’t win because he didn’t choose, in his heart I chose A, but he didn’t choose, candidate A lost, later he will regret it, why didn’t he choose. So don’t choose not to,” said Ma’ruf.
“Secondly, so that this general election is followed by a sufficient number, so that the results are legitimate,” he continued.
