The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, highlighted this Friday (29), in Luanda, the determination and firmness of the Angolan President, João Lourenço, in State actions and decisions aimed at leading the country to sustainable development.
Esperança da Costa made these considerations when speaking at the end-of-year greeting ceremony for the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, taking place in Cidade Alta.
According to Esperança da Costa, these actions are also aimed at greater democratization, highlighting the rights, freedoms and guarantees of citizens.
The Vice-President said that the year ending (2023) was quite challenging at an economic level, which required the Executive, led by President João Lourenço, to continually adopt courageous and structural measures towards its diversification, improving the environment of business and the social sector, aiming to correct the high dependence on oil.
To this end, Esperança da Costa added, the main line of government action has been decided to focus on good governance, rigor, transparency of public acts, combating corruption and impunity, the energy transition, moralizing society and working on projecting a new image of Angola in the world.
Members of the Executive, Parliament, higher courts, politicians, religious entities, among others, participate in the event.
