Jessica Niño de Guzmán, Vice Minister of Social Benefits, arrived this morning to supervise the delivery of 105 tons of safe and quality food from the Qali Warma program to the District Municipality of San Antonio, in Huarochirí, for the care of 126 common pots and in benefit of 8522 users.
During the activity, the vice minister was accompanied by the mayor of the Municipality of San Antonio, Nick Alexander Aponte Quispe; as well as the head of the Territorial Unit of the social program, Florencio Pampa Rocha. Together with her, she went to the Municipal Agency of Annex 22, where she verified the receipt of the food by said municipality, to guarantee complementary food care in a timely manner.
“Joint work between Midis and local governments is important to guarantee quality food. In addition, we want the common pots to transition to the Food Complementation Program (PCA) so that they have sustainability and the budget that allows them to ensure their food. We recognize the great work of each of the leaders of the communal pots in Huarochirí and throughout Peru, and we will always be committed to moving forward,” remarked Vice Minister Jessica Niño de Guzmán.
The products delivered for the attention of the common pots are made up of brown sugar, rice, vegetable oil, noodles, oat flakes with kiwicha, oat flakes with quinoa, split peas, lentils, canned fish in vegetable oil, among others.
It should be noted that the food was previously subjected to strict documentary, physical-sensory and organoleptic controls (smell, color, flavor and texture) with the aim of guaranteeing its quality and safety for the consumption of thousands of users.
Said complementary food care is carried out within the framework of Law No. 31953, Public Sector Budget for Fiscal Year 2024, which authorizes the Qali Warma program to acquire food for the beneficiaries of the common pots.
