Viaplay’s Exit from Poland: Plans for Streaming Services and Job Losses

Who will take over sports coverage after Viaplay?

According to Betfan, after the withdrawal of Viaplay from Poland, the rights to the matches of the main English football league will be bought back by Canal+ (odds 1.25). The second in this competition, but with almost three times less chances, is Eleven Sports (4.00).

Eleven Sports, on the other hand, has the best chance of taking over the rights to show Formula 1 competitions from Viaplay – the odds for F1 broadcasts with this broadcaster is 1.40. Canal+ (4.00) and Polsat (4.00) have a much smaller chance of taking over Formula 1.

The Polish bookmaker also predicts that the rights to show the tournaments of the darter organization PDC will go to TVP Sport. However, this will only apply to the World Championship itself (1.45) and not to all tournaments (5.00).

According to Betfan, the public broadcaster will also take over the rights to broadcast KSW fights and show them on its sports channel – TVP Sport (1.70). In the opinion of the bookmaker, the chances of returning to KSW TV are two times lower (3.50). Betfan basically does not expect to broadcast the fights of this federation on Canal+ (odds of 7.50).
