The Spanish agency Viajes El Corte Inglés together with the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) began a campaign to position Argentina in Spain.
Viajes El Corte Inglés began to actively promote Argentine tourist destinations at its points of sale in the main Spanish cities. And it does so by displaying promotional materials and special offers on different audiovisual screens. In addition, a digital marketing campaign is being carried out through social networks.
Among the most important spaces where the campaign is displayed are the screens in Callao (pedestrian area of Plaza de Callao and Gran Vía) and on the more than 160 billboards in all El Corte Inglés and Hipercor shopping centers in Spain. It is also active on 440 screens at Viajes El Corte Inglés stores in 213 locations throughout Spain.
According to INPROTUR data, Spain is the European market that emits the most tourists to Argentina. In the first 4 months of 2023, more than 81,000 Spanish tourists have already entered, which is equivalent to almost 100% of what entered in the same period of 2019 and if March 2023 is compared with March 2019, 114% was registered, which implies full recovery and growth of 14% above the pre-pandemic.
As part of this campaign, training was carried out in the city of Madrid for more than 40 exclusive clients of Viajes El Corte Inglés.
Currently, air connectivity between Argentina and Spain has increased with the main Spanish airlines, such as Iberia, which connects Buenos Aires with Madrid, or Level, with a direct connection to Barcelona. (Level connects Buenos Aires and Barcelona for less than USD 900)
