From Friday, October 4th, the local adult education center can also be found on social media. Anyone who searches for “VHS Lennetal” can now find the local educational institution’s offerings on Facebook and Instagram. The motto is: “Experience the colorful world of further education with us – limitless for your future”. This also means that the last virtual boundaries are falling.

Lennetal – “The multicolored bubbles in our VHS logo already stand for different types of offers, very different customer groups and their diversity,” explains VHS manager Holger Sellien. “Now there are also – in addition to our homepage – a variety of online communication offers.” The launch is deliberately taking place before the autumn holidays.

The two social media sites were launched by the Leverkusen advertising agency WantAD, whose partner Sebastian Mark was born in Plettenberg. “Our entire team will be involved in the contributions,” promises Sellien. The internal internet representative is Isabelle Tedesco.

“The appearances on these two channels are intended to accompany our previous offerings,” explains Sellien. “This should open up new target groups for us – we want to get closer to the people.” At the stand at the city festival, the VHS noticed: “There are a lot of people who don’t know that the VHS even exists.” Many people don’t know what offers it has in store. “Our valuable offer is right around the corner,” advertises the manager.

In the long term, the plan is to “also have an exchange with people,” reveals Tedesco. Sellien adds: “It’s important that you have your own opinion, but that you can form it first.”

The Internet Commissioner describes what will now happen on Facebook and Instagram: “We give a look behind the scenes. We’ll show you what it looks like here and what we do.” Sellien continues: “We use a lot of pictures for this, but also reels – i.e. small videos.”

The VHS is also keen to find new lecturers in this way. “We are excited,” emphasizes Sellien, “to see who our first followers will be.” He summarizes: “Social media is now an additional showcase into our colorful VHS world.”
