Kassel / Berlin (MH) – VG Musikedition has confirmed its administrative board in office. At the general meeting, President Sebastian Mohr (Breitkopf & Härtel) and his deputy Hartmut Schick (LMU Munich) were re-elected, the collecting society announced on Wednesday. Thomas Sertl (Schott Music), Friedemann M. Strube (Strube-Verlag) and the composer and lyricist Wolfgang Hering also remain members of the Board of Directors.

VG Musikedition drew a positive balance for the 2020 financial year. Despite the corona pandemic and the associated restrictions for the entire culture and creative industry, income has increased. The performance divisions suffered most of the losses. According to the information, total revenues rose by a good 5.8 percent to 8.399 million euros (previous year: 7.937 million euros). The total distribution of 7.003 million euros was also well above that of the previous year (4.965 million euros).
