VfL Bochum: More season tickets sold than ever before

The people in charge of the new Bundesliga club VfL Bochum are currently very satisfied. The club has never sold as many season tickets as for the 2021/2022 season.

VfL Bochum has sold the season tickets for the coming Bundesliga-Season 2021/22 historic achieved. In 50 years of Bundesliga history, the Bochumers have never before sold so many season tickets. To date, a total of 14,000 tickets (as of July 13, 2021) have been sold to former season ticket holders, members and fans via the virtual shop counter.

“We are very proud that we were able to break the sales record from the 1997/98 season, which was around 11,400 season tickets,” says Ilya Kaenzig, Spokesman for the VfL management. “We would like to thank all the fans for their support and look forward to seeing you again at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.”

VfL fans can secure a season ticket for the new season until Sunday, July 18. The sale of season tickets will then be stopped in order to ensure that when games can be used at full capacity again, there is also a remaining contingent for free individual sales. VfL is currently in coordination with the health department, the DFL and the city regarding the possible audience capacity in the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
