The campaign runs on Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
There are many good reasons to donate blood. That’s why the Bundesliga soccer team VfL Bochum 1848 is organizing the VfL BLOOD DONATION DAY this Tuesday (November 19th) in the rooms of the “Stadtwerke Bochum Lounge” in the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.
Anyone interested can donate blood at VfL from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. after prior registration. Among other things, two places for an exclusive tour of the stadium will be raffled off ten times among all participants.
In Germany, 14,000 blood donations are needed every day for acute help in the event of accidents, cancer therapy or the treatment of immune diseases. Of course it can happen to anyone. By donating blood you are doing something good in three senses. Because each donation is divided into up to three preparations and therefore helps three people. The donated blood must be tested in the laboratory within 24 hours and processed into the individual blood components. The short shelf life of blood platelets (four days) is a key reason why people are constantly being asked to donate blood.
Many people are allowed to donate blood if they meet certain criteria. Donors must be between 18 and 68 years old, weigh more than 50 kg and meet a few health factors. Whether the participants are eligible for a donation is checked in advance in a donation check.
