Center-back Konstantinos Mavropanos (22 / Arsenal London) has made his decision for the coming season, according to BILD information. The Greek U21 international (4 appearances) wants to play with VfB in the Bundesliga.
But: VfB still has to agree on the deal with Arsenal London. It is clear that the English do not want to sell Mavropanos. So only one loan is possible. A good solution for the clammy VfB with a transfer budget of only 5 million euros.
Bundesliga competitors such as Mainz, Bremen and Hoffenheim are said to have been interested in Mavropanos. Sports director Sven Mislintat (47) may have been the deciding factor for Stuttgart. During his time at Arsenal (2017 – 2019), he already brought Mavropanos from PAS Giannina from Greece.
