Since then, fans have been absent and important income has been missing. So far, VfB has held back, but now it is initiating a Corona aid campaign from which many should benefit. Ticket sales begin early enough to allow the clubs to use the proceeds to provide immediate Corona aid. Tickets for the four- to five-hour event cost 10 euros (standing room) and from 20 euros (seat, boxes on request), tickets for young people under the age of 16 are discounted. All clubs have their own fan areas in the stadium. Each ticket buyer also indicates which club is particularly close to him – this club then receives the largest share of the proceeds from this ticket. Alternatively, the designation “Fan of Lübeck football” can be selected, which means that all clubs participate in the ticket purchase in the same amount. “Donor tickets” are also offered, which are made available to charitable institutions or special helpers in the pandemic.
