Schemes have been made before, but someone has to stop them. Thus, the former speaker of the National Assembly, Vezhdi Rashidov, commented on the scandal with the revealed financial abuses in theaters in the country in the program “Supportive People”.
He also commented on the situation in the DPS.
“I know what the DPS is, I know how the DPS was created, and that’s why I’m not in the DPS,” Rashidov said when asked about the traffic situation.
He told the background to the creation of the DPS – he recalled the revival process and the political events that followed it, and said: “The DPS is Lukanov’s mistake.”
In his words, the entire Bulgarian people allowed Dogan’s abuses and thefts to happen, the barns he lived in, the yachts and cars he rode in.
According to him, justice reform will not happen. “If reforms in the judicial system are adopted, someone must arrest himself, this cannot be done,” added Rashidov.
“Isn’t it insulting that we buy our presence in the parliament, they come in poor as laluggers and leave politics as businessmen. How does this happen in this party,” he said, referring to the DPS.
According to him, a large part of the Bulgarian Turks are ashamed of what is happening. “There is vote buying in DPS, where does this money come from,” asked Rashidov. “It is insulting for primitive people to demonstrate possession of inferiority complexes,” he added.
According to Rashidov, it is not important who will be in coalition with whom in the future national assembly, but that there should be governance in the interest of the people.
“I would make a coalition with the devil if it is useful for the people. What follows from this. Does a part of our life get better, does something in it get better, is our standard higher, is our bread cheaper … These are the questions. There will be some kind of cabinet, so what,” the sculptor told Bulgaria ON AIR. And he summed up: “I am a happy person to be in the studio.”
Rashidov also spoke about the pre-election programs of the parties and coalitions and gave the example of France.
“Do you know how the French farmer votes. The French farmer reads programs. He has 300 cows or a thousand. And he looks at which party offers him the best feed for his cows. That’s his bread. He goes at 7 o’clock, votes and comes back because Paris should drink milk. We don’t read programs, we don’t watch what we’re going to do, we don’t follow the programs,” said Vezhdi Rashidov.
