The Upper Swabian pharmaceutical company Vetter has broken the sales mark of one billion euros. The company announced on Tuesday at its headquarters in Ravensburg that the milestone was reached earlier than planned. Sales in the past financial year climbed by 12 percent compared to the previous year to 1.002 billion euros. Sales have doubled since 2016. Vetter traditionally does not disclose any information about winnings.
The pharmaceutical company is investing in its future
The global pharmaceutical service provider has repeatedly invested money in expanding its production capacities in recent years. In 2023, around 225 million euros were invested at the locations in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia area, at the production site in neighboring Rankweil in Vorarlberg and at the US location in Chicago. The number of employees recently grew by 300 to 6,300.
The family business, founded in 1950 by pharmacist Helmut Vetter, is a specialist in liquid and freeze-dried medications that are filled into syringes and other injection systems.
