Always ahead of the other championships, the veterans of Boule du Cagire continued their respective club championships (CZC and CDC) with diametrically opposed objectives. This third day of CDC was played in Aspet where the veterans were opposed to Colomiers, one of the most successful and prestigious clubs in our department and well beyond. Before today, the situation could not have been clearer with two clubs well at the head of the group, Cazères and Castanet, who will compete for the first two qualifying places for the final accession phases. Behind, 6 teams standing in two points. Thus, the Aspétois, 6th out of 8, were forced to play their role in the last 3 matches remaining on the program, Colomiers at home then, then a trip to Revel to meet Castanet, the leader, then Revel, the host club.
The Aspétois group was Jean-Pierre Albert and JB Boué, the 2 coaches, then M.Bilac, G.Dencausse, J. Gomez, G. Pujos, Fr. Raoul and G.Sère. The great Aspétoise victory against these Columérins, 24 to 12, opens the veterans straight towards this well-deserved maintenance. A final effort at Revel on September 21 and it will be validated. In CZC, at Luchon, the veterans, 6th, again achieved mixed results with again 3 games won out of the 4 required.
