Recent cuts in Bioware touched on some of the “veterans” of screenwriting, who worked in the studio for a long time.
Former Lead Writer Dragon Age David Geider drew attentionthat one of the fired employees was Lukas Christianson. In the past, he worked on Baldur’s Gate as a story writer and designer, and he also created the famous hero Minsk for the game.
Later, he came up with the Joker for Mass Effect, and while working on Dragon Age: Inquisition, the author worked on the characters of Sera and Corypheus. At the same time Gaider notedthat Christianson was also involved in the creation of a number of other important elements of the Dragon Age series. Prior to his dismissal, the latter acted as a senior writer for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.
In addition, a place in the studio lost Mary Kirby, who also worked on the Dragon Age franchise. In particular, she came up with a popular hero Varrika from the sequel.
Bioware’s general manager has said in the past that the reshuffle won’t affect the fate of upcoming games, and all these cuts were made to improve the studio’s operations.
