Veteran Retiro Madrid takes historic cars to the streets on Sunday

There are specific moments throughout the year when the opportunity arises to see vehicles from other eras in circulation. Without going any further, last September the historic EMT buses returned to the center of the capital on the occasion of the Mobility Festival. And it so happens that this weekend is another of those moments, but this time Veteran Car Club España will be the one who brings past automotive jewels to the streets on the occasion of the II Veteran Retiro Madrid.

After a first edition held in 2022, this peculiar event returns to delight both classic car lovers and those who are simply curious to see them up close.

The appointment with the Veteran Retiro Madrid will be this Sunday, November 10, starting at 12 noon. The cars will leave the School of Industrial Engineers (José Gutiérrez Abascal Street, 2) to go along Castellana to Cibeles. On the occasion of the event, the Madrid City Council has informed what the traffic problems during the day.

Upon his return, They will enter the Retiro to remain exposed until 1:30 p.m.. Among the models that can be seen in circulation and, later, on display, there will be a Darracq from the year 1900 and pre-1930 cars from manufacturers such as De Dion-Bouton, Rolls-Royce, Packard and Chevrolet.

On the other hand, its organizers – which, by the way, make up the oldest veteran automobile club in Spain, with uninterrupted activity since its creation – have also wanted to collaborate with the people affected by DANA in Valencia.

For this reason, until Sunday they will be raising funds (to which will be added a contribution from the club) that will be allocated entirely to Cáritas Madrid to invest in helping to alleviate the damage caused by the storm.
