Prominent Hindi film actor Junior Mehmood (67) passed away. He was undergoing treatment for cancer. India was at his residence in Mumbai last night. He was diagnosed with cancer two weeks ago. By last night, his health was deteriorating.
He has acted in more than 250 films in seven languages in a film career spanning five decades. He played prominent roles in many super hit films in Hindi. Films like Katti Pathang, Mera Naam Joker, Parvarish, Do Aur Do Panch, Haathi Mere Saathi, Judai, Dadagiri, Karavan and Brahmachari are just a few.

Real name was Naeem Saeed. The name Junior Ali was given by actor and singer Mehmood Ali. He entered the cinema as a child actor in the film Naunihaal released in 1967. Apart from acting in about 250 films, he has also produced and directed several Marathi films.
Actors Johnny Lever, Jitendra and others visited Mahmood at his residence after hearing about his illness.
