This will be clear from the ownership notification that Vestre will present on Friday, the Minister of Labor informs VG.
The principle is that no top manager should have a higher salary increase than employees, not in percentage, but in crowns and øre. And if that principle is broken, according to VG, the result can be astounding in boardrooms.
– There is no property notice that has gone this far before. This is a very strong tightening. But I want to be an industry minister who does something, Vestre tells the newspaper.
Agree to Hurdal
The principle will apply to companies owned by the state.
In the Hurdal platform, the ruling parties AP and SP have agreed to ensure greater restraint when it comes to the salaries of state leaders.
The government “will create new guidelines for executive salaries and other types of executive compensation in the state, which help reduce wage gaps,” the platform says.
The committee is shipwrecked
This summer, the government was also given a report by the so-called Executive Wage Committee. The committee supports the abolition of the current executive pay system, introduced in 1991 to reduce the differences between the public and private sectors.
Among the things proposed by the committee were wage ceilings, stricter regulation of wage ranges, hiring at lower wage levels, wage cuts and wage freezes.
