Vesselin Marinov broke it financially. The legendary singer, who we are used to seeing singing in front of halls full of loyal fans, is now facing bankruptcy, Shaw Blitz writes.
With great difficulty, the performer of “A Moment of Paradise” admitted that the pandemic situation had a detrimental effect on the business and he even decided to fire his longtime team in the company, which constantly cared about his image and work.
The beloved artist’s last concert was in the summer, when the measures against COVID-19 were a little more relaxed for concerts outside. The musician made another summer tour, but with only 50% audience.
According to him, if he stops singing even for a month, he will not be able to pay his team. And now for more than a year and a half the concerts and gatherings of many people are limited. “I don’t want to stand out or complain,” the musician told Petya Dikova on bTV’s “This Saturday and Sunday.”
“I was really the only one who supported such a large team, but they have already been released and everyone is trying to find their place and survive,” said the vocal singer.
He spent 5 years in Germany and there he learned to reinvest everything he earned in himself – new equipment, quality team, costumes, transport. His hope is not completely dead that he will be able to reunite his team one day when things are gone.
The artist admitted that his fans are rarely interested in how much the concerts cost him. They write to him regularly to ask him why he doesn’t give concerts and why he doesn’t come to their city.
“I can come, but there can be no income,” he explained, emphasizing: “At the moment, 50% is impossible for the way my fans are used to seeing me.”
The positive thing is that now the singer is facing the traditional Christmas meetings with the audience. There will be concerts in Razlog, Gorni Dabnik, Pleven, Byala and Polski Trambesh – the artist’s hometown. Next year there will be concerts in Sofia.
Despite the difficulties in professional terms, Veselin Marinov is happy with his personal life. He believes that his personal life is perfect.
“First of all, my daughter, who found the best son-in-law I could have, and out of their love, my grandchildren came,” he said.
