RK Nexe is one of the group opponents of IK Sävehof in the European League. With two rounds of the main round to go, the Croatian runner-up could likely draw inspiration from an iconic incoming coach. Vecernji List writer namely that Veselin Vujovic will take over Nexe shortly.

After stepping down from the role of captain in Iran at the end of 2023, Vujovic has been looking for his next job in the coaching staff. Balkan-Handball adds the information that he may take over Nexe on Wednesday, the day after the club’s European match against Gorenje Velenje.
Nexe is second and Sävehof in third in the four-team group where the best three advance to the playoffs.
