The local hail and thunderstorm in eastern Norway seems to continue throughout the evening, states meteorologist Magnus Ovhed told NTB.
– It is a fairly cool weather type that forms both powerful hail and thunderstorms, and is a typical phenomenon in summer time. We can see that the mountains go up the Oslo Fjord on both sides and extend all the way to Lillehammer, says Ovhed.
From Thursday evening, yellow danger warning has also been sent out for snow and slippery roads on the following mountain crossings in southern and northern Norway: Riksvei 7 Hardangervidda, Fv55 Sognefjellet, E134 Haukelifjell and Langfjella between the eastern, southern and western Norway.
