Ole Gunnar Solskjær (48) is under pressure at Manchester United ahead of six very important weeks.

With a loss in Saturday’s match against Leicester, Manchester United have now lost three of their last five matches. This in turn has led to speculation about Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s future as manager of the English big club.
The Athletic experiences on Saturday night that Solskjær will not be fired now, and points out that the Norwegian will have “a lot of goodwill among the board” in the club for the job he has done.
To VG, journalist in the same newspaper, Oliver Kay, said that he does not think Solskjær will be fired now, but was also skeptical that the Norwegian is the right man to lead Manchester United back to the top.
TV 2’s football expert, Erik Thorstvedt, believes Solskjær – who signed a contract extension until 2024 this summer – is safe for the rest of the season.
– I think he is worried about how they look, but do not think he spends a lot of calories on noise around his own job. It takes a lot for all that noise to have a significant result, says Thorstvedt, who has great faith that Manchester United will end up among the top four in the Premier League after the end of the season.
– They have a strong stable and have built stone upon stone. Are they good enough to go to the top? Hardly. But it is very surprising if the results are so bad that Solskjær has to leave before the end of the season, Thorstvedt believes.
