Very strong storms are rolling across the Czechia

“From Šumava, an organized line of storms is advancing to the northeast, at the head of which there are gusts of wind around 90 kilometers per hour, torrential rain and hail around two centimeters. The storms will probably weaken as they move forward, “said meteorologists.

During the day, there will be hot weather in the Czech Republic, especially in Moravia, and in Silesia the afternoon temperatures will exceed 31 degrees Celsius. In the early evening and at night on Wednesday, there will be more strong storms. According to meteorologists, they will occur throughout the country, while in the western half they should be stronger and can flood rivers.

In the eastern part of the republic, torrential rain can occur locally with totals around 30 millimeters, with hail and gusts of wind around 70 kilometers per hour. For the Prague, Central Bohemian, South Bohemian, Plzeň, Karlovy Vary, Ústí nad Labem, Liberec and Hradec Králové regions, warnings about the high danger of very strong storms apply from Tuesday 20:00 to Wednesday morning. The wind can reach up to 90 kilometers per hour in gusts and rain around 50 millimeters of water in torrential rain.

At the same time, river levels may rise in these regions, but water should not flow from the banks. According to meteorologists, people should avoid swimming or boating on these streams.
