A number of traffic accidents are reported on the E6 in Follo and Østfold. Police urge you to drive carefully. Also on E18 and E134 there are reports of slippery places.

“In the last few minutes, the police have received reports of several traffic accidents on the E6 in Follo / Østfold. A VERY slippery road is reported. DRIVE CAREFULLY !” writes the Police in the East on Twitter just before 2 p.m.
Then the snow has been making down for a while.
The road traffic center east reports shortly afterwards that their crews are out salting and stabilizing the road network. They also report reduced traffic and queues as a result of several accidents in Eastern Norway.

Also further south in the country, snowfall leads to challenges. Vegtrafikksentralen sør, which covers Agder, Vestfold and Telemark and old Buskerud, encourages motorists on their Twitter account to be patient and show consideration:
The Meteorological Institute writes on Twitter that up to ten centimeters of snow is expected, in some places more, in Eastern Norway today. They point out that there may be slippery ice under the fresh snow.
In Western Norway, there can also be challenges. Especially at the northern end of the region, where it has snowed in many places. Increasing winds are also expected.
