“Very High Voltage Electricity Network Transmission Project in Bagneux until 2024 – RTE Project Details and Traffic Disruptions”

A very high voltage electricity network transmission project will cross Bagneux, mainly via rue des Meuniers until August 2024. The work program…

The creation of many public transport lines (Grand Paris Express lines, electrification of buses, etc.) but also the economic development of the region, generate significant electrical needs. This requires strengthening the supply between the transformers of Arcueil and Clamart, with the installation of a very high voltage network extending over 2,250 linear meters in the territory of Bagneux.

The RTE project (Electrical Transport Authority) consists of passing very high voltage power lines through the city, which arrive from Clamart via rue Blanchard to the Bertholet substation located in Arcueil.

This operation, which will last until August 2024, will take the streets Blanchard, Jean-Baptiste-Fortin, Froide, Gabriel-Péri and des Meuniers. It will also cut off the RD920.

It consists of passing cables suitable for very high voltage, as well as a sheath for the telecommunications cables in a concrete block, buried 1.5 meters above the ground.

The work will be carried out in sections of 150 meters in length so as not to obstruct traffic too much. The track will be opened, the sheaths put in place, then the asphalt will be redone before moving on to the next section.

During the works, traffic will be on one lane. Diversions may be put in place.
