Here is a piece of news that could well wake up LaVar Ball, for our greatest pleasure (blah). Indeed the Hornets loved LiAngelo Ball’s Summer League and if there is no contract in sight yet, a few good returns never hurt.
So it’s been over a month that LiAngelo eats, sleeps, drinks Charlotte Hornets, and when we see the reaction of the franchise, we can say that it rather paid because, according to NBC Sports, the Hornets are said to be quite happy with LiAngelo and his Summer League. Qualified as a hard worker and ready to work in the shadows – at the same time difficult to see him do more – Gelo could even participate in the training camp of the Jojo franchise. Rather useful out of the bench (10.5 points including a nice 41.7% at 3 points and 1.5 interceptions per game), LiAngelo showed that he made the necessary efforts, that he had a good skill … and then we don’t go lie to each other that’s a can all, and don’t mess around with us because we watched the Summer League and we’re not necessarily very proud of it. Apart from a 16-point game including five shots from the parking lot and a small half-court shot, We are not on a sensational debut either, but hey, at least the coach liked the training, just to counter the image of kéké that he had been dragging himself for some time (since his birth). That said, if the other two brothers have proved that they are doing quite well, for LiAngelo it turns out … a little more complicated.
Lots of buzz around @LiAngeloBall, who’s played very well during Summer League and is vying for a G-League spot. Have spoken w/multiple members of the #Hornets’ org. They love Gelo! Has proven to a ton of doubters that he’s a legit guy and a big time worker…

So, a real contract opportunity or a simple comment to congratulate him? Difficult to say, but we would rather go for the second option. Already, the Hornets could offer him, at best, an Exhibit 10 Contract, which would give him the opportunity to participate in the training camp and then play in the G League or receive an offer of two-way. The problem is that the Hornets have already signed their two two-way, Scottie Lewis et Arnoldas Kulboka, and the Hornets already have 14 guaranteed contract players in their roster, so it seems complicated to see Gelo take this 15th spot. Landing an E10 therefore seems totally playable, but for a two-way or a guaranteed place in a roster (let’s be crazy) you will probably have to look elsewhere, but not sure that it will work. And then hey, if you think about it a little, when you’re the big brother of the new idol from north carolina, just crowned rookie of the year and brand image of your franchise, it seems hard to see the hornets say bad things about you, eh. So we don’t want to say that there is hypocrisy in the air either, but let’s say that it always has good to get along well with the siblings, history, in addition, not to wake up the banter from father.
The Hornets are happy with LiAngelo Ball’s Summer League, but it might be hard to see him with the Hornets next season, unless his brother comes through. It remains to be seen if these few matches will have been enough for a few other franchises to offer him a two-way, and we, frankly, we are not saying no, if if we swear to you.
