Very busy King’s Day: no one can join at Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven

The Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven will be closed on Wednesday afternoon due to too much crowds. Royal Dutch Eindhoven works as a magnet for people who want to celebrate King’s Day in the City of Light. “But it is pleasantly busy and the atmosphere is friendly,” said Ruud Bakker of the Eindhoven department of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland at five o’clock. He does not rule out the possibility that it will become even busier in the city center.

The King’s Day party on the Stadhuisplein in Eindhoven attracts so many people that no one can attend. Only when people leave the square are others allowed on it. Tens of thousands of people are in the city to celebrate King’s Day as usual.

Breda is also very busy. 538 King’s Day attracts 40,000 people to the sun-drenched Baroniefeest.

As far as is known, no major problems have occurred anywhere.
