Benfica footballer Jan Vertonghen reacted this Sunday night on social media in an apparently critical way towards the Portuguese championship, while Sporting-Paços de Ferreira, of the 28th round of the I Liga, was being played in Alvalade.
«This League surprises me every week», wrote the Belgian, through the social network Twitter, at 9:43 pm, almost an hour after one of the bids that Sporting-Paços de Ferreira scored, the penalty awarded to the lions that resulted in the 1-0 scored by the Spaniard Pablo Sarabia.
The referee of the game, Vítor Ferreira, had first simulated Paulinho, a Sporting forward, showing him the yellow card, but reverted the decision to a penalty after consulting the images, also canceling the disciplinary action against the green and whites’ forward.
