The direct insurer Verti and Hyundai Capital Bank Europe (HCBE) are intensifying their cooperation. Since July, Hyundai customers have been able to test Hyundai Finance’s “Plus” car insurance for four weeks as part of an exclusive campaign, ie no premium is charged in the first month of the contract. The cooperation partners announced on Monday that retailers of the brands could offer this incentive to their customers by the end of the year.
“In an overall challenging time, we are now slowly seeing the market normalizing and we are convinced that we can offer our partner dealers and their customers additional services with our products that make buying a car even more attractive – on the one hand through attractive conditions, but also through smooth-running processes,” explained Tatjana Herleth, Director B2B Partnership Business at Verti.
Michael Bodlée, who is responsible for the insurance business at the manufacturer’s bank HCBE, emphasized: “Our modular insurance products ensure that the customer can drive his Hyundai or Kia with peace of mind in every situation in life. This strengthens customer loyalty and supports the dealer in selling vehicles .”
Successful pilot project
The current cooperation, which includes the entire dealer network of the HCBE brands Hyundai Finance and Kia Finance, was preceded by a pilot project with selected Hyundai dealerships. During this phase, both the product and the processes were adapted to the needs of the dealers. Herleth: “Such test phases are extremely important to us, because in an agile environment, products and processes are continuously developing and in the end we achieve a win-win situation for everyone involved.” Thanks to the constructive cooperation, HCBE has meanwhile become one of the most important partners. Many more projects are to be implemented in the future.
Verti is part of the Mapfre Group and has been an insurance partner of Hyundai Capital Bank Europe since spring 2022. Since then, Hyundai and Kia dealerships have been able to offer joint vehicle insurance.
