In a great game, Sol de América did what nobody had been able to do in the Clausura tournament up to now: defeat Guaraní.
With a night inspired by Francisco Da Costa, author of a double, Juan Pablo Pumpido’s team put a brake on Fernando Jubero’s, who, although he maintained the lead and the distance of five points, but missed a magnificent opportunity to get away and almost definitely tilt the process in your favor.

But the VAR annulled it and Sol de América celebrated a triumph, knocking down the leader of the championship.

The coach of Sol de América, Juan Pablo Pumpido, spoke of the great triumph that his team achieved no less than against the leader of the championship, Guaraní, knocking him down undefeated.
Pumpido said that the strategy proposed in the previous one was put into practice to perfection, highlighting that they did not let him play the “best team in the championship.”
“The tactical work went perfectly. At no time did they have a chance of scoring. (Guaraní) It is the team that plays the best, that generates the most and has more goal situations and today it could not do so,” he said.
He assured that the victory “is magnified by the rival”, but said it was a great match for his team. “We knew that we had to make a game of extreme concentration. His great virtue, which are the quick transitions, we had them well cared for. We did not let Guaraní play like Guaraní,” he said.

Guaraní’s coach, Fernando Jubero, analyzed in a press conference his team’s defeat, the first of the championship and with which the Aborigen’s undefeated nine-game match was cut.
Jubero highlighted the rival’s approach, but said that his team deserved something more. “It does not seem to me that we have been overcome, but we did receive a goal very early and we had to bear the weight of the game,” he began analyzing.
“We were passive and that took advantage of the rival to score us the goal. They scored us the goals in important moments and we had to row the whole game. We have to give credit to the rival, he put many players in the midfield and that prevented us from having speed,” he added .
He continued saying that “anyway” his players looked for him and reacted well in search of the tie; without much clarity but with push. “The team deserved something more,” he said.
