The Russian Daniil Medvedev officially succeeded Novak Djokovic on Monday as the world number one in the ATP ranking, thus ending the reign of the “Big 4”, made up of the Serbian, the Spanish Rafael Nadal, the Swiss Roger Federer and the British Andy Murray, who dominated world tennis since 2004.
