Guaireña is going through an almost complete renovation of his squad with a view to the 2022 season, where he will once again participate in the Copa Sudamericana, something that he had already achieved in 2021.
While he is still looking for players to join his squad, Albiceleste has already added a dozen new players.
Starting from the goal, Rubén Escobar joined the team of goalkeepers, which is also made up of Óscar Toledo and Héctor Espínola. Right-back Víctor Barrios and midfielders Pablo Ayala and Diego Godoy also arrived from Sol de América.
On the other hand, Juan Aguilar and Richard Salinas, from October 12, joined; Jordan Santacruz, from Olimpia; Milton Maciel and Antonio Marín, from Guaraní and Mario Otazú, who came from River Plate.
The Albiceleste team is still looking for more strikers for its squad and is also following in the footsteps of Andrés Duarte, lately at Sportivo Luqueño. From that same team, Guaireña also wants to have Enrique Borja.

The Francisco Da Costa case, which seemed to be closed in favor of Cerro Porteño, ended up taking an unexpected turn in a few minutes and the forward already has a new team.
It is the Bolívar of Bolivia, which through its president, Marcelo Claure, confirmed that he had reached an agreement with “Chico.” “Welcome Francisco Da Costa to the largest club in Bolivia. I have just reached an agreement with the club and the player,” the manager wrote on his social networks.
Everything was aimed at closing in favor of Azulgrana, who wanted to acquire 45% of the player’s pass in installments, but this activated the alarms of Bolívar that had already shown interest in the player weeks ago.
Finally, the Bolivian club proposed to make the payment in cash and a better offer for the “Chico” pass and thus ended up reaching an agreement with Sol de América, the club that owns his pass.
In this way, Cerro Porteño will return to the market to look for a replacement for Mauro Boselli on the attack front.
