Dutchman Max Verstappen, Red Bull driver, confirmed his supremacy in the Formula 1 world championship, when he dominated, yesterday, the only free experience of the Austrian Grand Prix, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow.
Verstappen, world champion in the last two seasons and leader in the drivers’ category for the current season, scored 5:742 seconds on the “Red Bull Ring” track, which is 4,138 kilometers long.
Verstappen was able to outperform the Ferrari duo, Spaniard Carlos Sainz, and last year’s race winner Charles Leclerc from Monaco, as they trailed Verstappen by 0:241 and 0:270 seconds, respectively. Verstappen has won six of the eight races held so far this season and leads the drivers’ standings, ahead of his teammate Perez, who won the other two races, by 69 points.
