Veronika Varga-Bajusz pointed out that, in view of the European Commission’s decision, the celebration of the Erasmus Days is particularly important this year: even more attention is directed to the importance and values of the program.
KIM, the Tempus Public Foundation responsible for the implementation of the Erasmus+ program in Hungary, and the model-changing universities are all doing everything to ensure that the Erasmus+ program can remain in these institutions as well, and that further generations of students can benefit from this excellent scholarship opportunity, he said.
He pointed out that Hungarian students already in XIII. They have been an integral part of European universities since the 19th century, and this connection cannot be broken.

He stated: Erasmus trips will continue until June 30, 2024, and international mobility opportunities will continue to be provided for students and teachers.
All conditions have been met for this and there will be no delay for the students and teachers – he indicated.
The funds are available for the institutions, he stated, then added: in August of this year, the Tempus Közalapítvány decided to allocate HUF 1.8 billion to the model-changing universities, which covers the international programs even beyond the planned increase.
In relation to the Erasmus+ program, the government stated that their goal is for more and more Hungarian students to gain international experience so that they can later use this knowledge in their careers at home.
The Erasmus Days provide a good opportunity to emphasize that “the Erasmus+ program has not and will not be discontinued in Hungary,” stated the deputy state secretary, adding that the 36-year-old program is now present in many sectors. Thus in public education, adult education, youth and vocational training, as well as in sports and higher education.
