The second racket of Russia, Veronika Kudermetova, became the quarterfinalist of the tournament in Rome with a prize fund of more than €3.5 million.
In the fourth round, Kudermetova defeated Czech Maria Bouzkova (38th in the world ranking) with a score of 6:2, 6:2.
Tennis players spent 1 hour and 20 minutes on the court.
In the quarterfinals, Kudermetova (12th) will face China’s Zheng Qinwen (21st).
