National team player Veronica Kristiansen (32) is expecting her first child in the summer.
– I am very happy to be able to announce the pregnancy now, it has been a bit difficult to hold onto the news lately, she says in a press release and adds that she is very happy.
She made her debut for the national team on 20 March 2013 and since then has played 171 games and scored 553 goals for the team.
Kristiansen was not part of the Norwegian squad that won the EC this winter. National team manager Thorir Heirgeirsson congratulates Kristiansen.
– We in the Handball girls’ coaching team are very happy about the news and congratulate Vikki and Adam (the partner) and wish them the best of luck in the future. We know that she has plans to return to top handball and join the national team again in due course – all this when she is ready for it, says Hergeirsson about the news.
