Singer and impersonator Véronic DiCaire will be in Caraquet this weekend to present her show, which won the Félix for Show of the Year 2020 at ADISQ and which conquered France and Las Vegas.
The Franco-Ontarian artist will present Véronic DiCaire in a show on the stage of the Carrefour de la mer in Caraquet, Friday and Saturday evening.
A regular in the capital of Acadia, the singer will be accompanied on stage by four musicians and six dancers.
“It’s a musical overview that includes around fifty voices, a repertoire from Lady Gaga to Charlotte Cardin, including Édith Piaf and Céline Dion. There is something for everyone in this show,” said the artist in an interview with Acadie Nouvelle.
Older guests who attend the musical performance will no doubt appreciate Véronic DiCaire’s nod to the cult 1960s television show Jeunesse d’hui, where singers like Jenny Rock and Michèle Richard were featured .
“I really like Adele, but I’m also nostalgic and I like to imitate Nicole Martin. Since I will be in Acadia, I think I will have fun with my tribute to Marie-Jo Thério.

In a show staged by Josée Fortier, the singer promises a musical adventure lasting nearly two hours, where humor, emotion and choreography will also be there.
“All spectators should find what they’re looking for with the 50 songs, since they are the biggest hits of all these singers and songs that burned the charts and that people have often heard on the radio,” explained Véronic DiCaire. .
The artist feels privileged to have had a prolific career that began more than 20 years ago.
“I am lucky to do these jobs, to be able to go on tour in New Brunswick, Quebec and France and even to meet French speakers all over the world.”
Véronic DiCaire’s artistic career includes performances in musicals like Grease and Chicago, comedy galas in Montreal and Quebec, opening acts on tour with Céline Dion as well as numerous television appearances like the one earlier this week on the show The Masked Singers.
The artist is also in the cast of the film Les belles-sœurs, an adaptation of the famous play by Michel Tremblay which will be released in theaters in July 2024.
As soon as 2024 arrives, Véronic DiCaire will fly to France as part of a series of shows which will extend until April.
