The group Cyberguns, which took control of Verney-Carron this summer as part of a backup planwishes to accelerate the development of the department defense and security of the Saint-Etienne company under the brand name Lebel. For this reason, its manager, Hervé Brugière, announces its intention to leave the 6,000 m2 of its current headquarters in Boulevard Thiers to Saint Etiennefor others more extensive and more modern.
“We aim to be installed by 2024 in an existing or to be constructed building of 10,000 m2”explains Emmanuel Couraud, vice president of Cybergun and responsible for the defense activity of the group, grouped under the name of“Arcania, which has other units in Blois, Ambroise, Angoulême and Vierzon. Saint-Etienne intended to be the only small arms production site for defence, security, sport shooting and hunting, Verney-Carron’s historical activity.
An investment of 20 million euros and a hundred hires
The investment of 20 million euros expected by 2025 in Saint-Etienne must be accompanied by the recruitment a hundred people, in addition to the current 75 employees.
