“Taking this opportunity, I once again urge Kherson residents and residents of the region … to evacuate by all available means, not to wait, to take out their relatives and children,” Vereshchuk said.

She explained that de-occupation involves the use of military force by the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, the Russians are interested in keeping as many residents as possible in the occupied territories in order to use them as human shields, so the invaders do their best to prevent evacuation.

Vereshchuk assured that there were opportunities for evacuation, but she refused to talk about them on the air, noting that those who left knew how to do it.

The minister added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will de-occupy the occupied territories, “there will be big battles.”

Also, the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Mikhail Podolyak called on residents of the southern territories to evacuate. In an interview 24 channels he said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would start deblocking the territories in the near future.

“Of course, we will go there. Of course, during the summer, autumn, we will definitely unblock these territories. There will be hot fighting, so it is desirable that people evacuate,” Podolyak said.
