Verdict of 8 of Ferdy Sambo’s men from Highest to Lowest

TEMPO.CO, JakartaHendra Kurniawan and Agus Nurpatria received a criminal verdict from the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday 27 February 2023. Hendra Kurniawan was proven guilty in the case obstuction of justice or obstruction of an investigation with a sentence of 3 years in prison and a fine of IDR 27 million.

Meanwhile, Agus Nurpatria was sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of IDR 20 million. The second sentencing hearing was postponed for a week. The following is a list of police who were implicated in the premeditated murder case masterminded by Ferdy Sambo.

1. Former Head of Propam Polri Division, Inspector General Freddy Sambo the PDTH sanction in relation to the murder of Brigadier J. Sambo was also named a suspect in premeditated murder and obstruction of the investigation into the death of Brigadier J. Sambo filed an appeal against the PDTH sanction but was rejected. He was also sentenced to death by the judges.

2. Former Karopaminal Polri Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan was given the sanction of Disrespectful Dismissal (PDTH) from the Police Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP). Hendra Kurniawan cs accused of playing a role in the disappearance of security camera or CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) footage at the official residence Freddy Sambo. He was also sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of IDR 27 million.

3. Former Kaden A of the Bureau of Administrative and Information Bureau of the Propam Division of the National Police, Kombes Agus Nurpatria, was also dismissed from the National Police because he was named a suspect in the obstruction of justice in the murder case of Brigadier J. Kombes Agus, who was said to have made an agreement in obstructing this investigation. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a fine of IDR 20 million.

4. Former PS Head of the Baggaketika Audit Subdivision Rowabprof Propam Polri Division, Kompol Chuck Putranto in this case as a suspect in the case of allegedly obstructing the investigation of the case of Brigadier J. Kompol Chuck was tried on Thursday, September 1, 2022. As a result, Chuck was sentenced to PTDH sanctions. He appealed. Chuck Putranto was also sentenced to one year in prison.

5. Former PS Head of Subbagriksa Baggaketika Rowabprof Propam Polri Division, Kompol Baiquni Wibowo has also held an ethics trial on Friday, 2 September 2022. Kompol Baiquni was dishonorably dismissed by the National Police because he was deemed to have committed a disgraceful act. Baiquni also appealed. Subsequently, Baiquni was found guilty as in the public prosecutor’s first primary indictment. He was sentenced to one year in prison.

6. Former Wakaden B Ropaminal Propam Polri Division, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Arif Rachman Arifin, he was penalized by PTDH but the decision has not been made final. In addition, Arif Rachman Arifin was sentenced to 10 months in prison. He did not appeal the decision.

7. The former Head of Sub-unit I, Sub-Directorate III, Directorate of General Crimes, Bareskrim Polri, AKP Irfan Widiyanto, was sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court. Irfan Widiyanto has yet to undergo an ethics trial. He hopes to return to the Police.

8. Ferdy Sambo’s former adjutant, Bripka Ricky Rizal. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison. However, Ricky Rizal has yet to undergo the KKEP trial because he appealed against the judge’s decision.

9. Former Adjutant of Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu, was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. Richard received an ethical sanction in the form of a one-year demotion from the National Police.
