Verdict in Bremen: Hate preacher must finally leave Germany | Regional

Bremen – It was about time! The Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Bremen has been monitoring hate preacher Abbes C. (49) for years. Two trials had to be conducted, and now it is finally clear: the Israel hater must leave Germany.

This was the decision of the Bremen Higher Administrative Court on Wednesday. It overturned a ruling by the Administrative Court that had prohibited the expulsion. However, the new decision is not yet legally binding.

The court is convinced that the Tunisian, as Imam of the Islamic Cultural Centre in Bremen (IKZ) called for armed struggle in his sermons. He also called for hatred against Jews.

Terror support

Support for a terrorist organization was also found, said the presiding judge.

One of the most horrible sentences that Abbes C. uttered: “Oh God, stand by our brothers, the jihadists and mujahideen everywhere, in Palestine, Gaza, Iraq, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Oman – and defeat the grandchildren of the apes and pigs.” Pure anti-Semitism.

Security at risk

The Bremen Interior Ministry ordered the man’s deportation in 2021 because, according to the Office for the Protection of the Constitution, he spread anti-constitutional views as an imam. He is also said to have made promotional statements about terrorist organizations. The Interior Ministry concluded at the time that the hate preacher was a threat to public safety and order.

The administrative court overturned the Interior Senator’s decisions in 2022. Completely incomprehensible: The court saw no danger to the public.

Abbes C. has four children in Germany. He is now separated from the mother of his children and is remarried under Islamic law. Years ago, the man was sentenced to a fine for assault and threats against the mother of his children. He is unemployed and in debt.
