Ukrainian singer Vera Brezhneva, almost a day later, commented on the new song of her husband, Ukrainian producer Konstantin Meladze, which he recorded together with a member of the Ukrainian group “VIA Gra” Sofia Tarasova in Russian and presented on September 8 on Russian platforms. Producer’s wife’s reaction posted in the evening of the same day on Instagram Stories.
The singer called the track between her husband and Tarasova an “amazing song.”
“Of course, listen to the new song by Konstantin Meladze and Sofia Tarasova,” she wrote.
Brezhneva did not comment on the fact that the track was published on the streaming services of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.

22-year-old Sofia Tarasova is from Kiev. In 2013 she took second place at Junior Eurovision. She does not publicly speak out about the Russian war against Ukraine.
In her microblog, the artist posts candid pictures, accompanying them with text in Russian, and also shares videos of herself during solo performances with her own songs. Since the fall of 2020, she has been a member of the new and currently last line-up of VIA Gra.
Konstantin Meladze is silent about the Russian attack on Ukraine. According to Ukrainian showman Andrei Danilko, who maintains contact with the producer, Meladze “had a very difficult time leaving Russia,” and is now in Italy.
Vera Brezhneva avoided mentioning Meladze all this time. She also appears in public places without her husband. Latvian singer Laima Vaikule said in June 2023 that Vera Brezhneva lives in Riga and is her neighbor. Vaikule did not mention whether Brezhnev lives with Meladze.
