The planets Jupiter and Venus will be visible to the naked eye as if ‘in fact almost colliding’ very close to each other until the early hours of today and tomorrow morning. The next similar convergence of the two planets will be in 2039.
On the meeting of Venus and Jupiter, the two brightest planets in the solar system NASA“Jupiter and Venus will then conjunct on the morning of April 30th – they will almost appear to collide with each other. Due to the flare from both planets, observers will see them merge into a very bright, gorgeous glow!” used the expressions.
“Venus’ orbit is closer to the Sun than Earth’s, and Jupiter’s orbit is much further away, so proximity is an illusion, it just happens because Earth, Venus, and Jupiter are approximately aligned,” NASA said in a statement. This celestial event will continue on the morning of May 1, but the positions of the planets, Jupiter and Venus will change places.
