The third film in the Venom saga has arrived, with Tom Hardy doubtful of returning. Although the Briton has said goodbye to the character on social networks, he has already stated that he would not mind playing the antihero again… Maybe in Spider-Man 4? There may be more clues in <a href="https://www.world-today-news.com/the-new-trailer-for-venom-the-last-dance-shows-the-imposing-knull-the-god-of-the-symbiotes/" title="The new trailer for 'Venom: The Last Dance' shows the imposing Knull, the God of the symbiotes”>Venom: The Last Dance than it seems.
The film resumes that journey that was shown in Venom: There Will Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home, although with a starting point that makes Eddie Brock a fugitive. He knows that the police are looking for him, but he is not aware of the real danger: Knull, god of the symbiotes, wants to catch him so he can free himself and end the universe.
The film is already in theaters, and maintains the tone and pace of its two predecessors… as well as its traditional post-credits scenes. Venom: The Last Dance features two post-credits scenes, one after the animated credits and one at the end of all the normal credits. If you’ve already seen it and couldn’t stay to see it or need some context, don’t worry, because we’ll explain it to you. Of course, keep in mind that major SPOILERS for the film lie ahead:
First post-credits scene
The film opens with Knull, a sinister being who presents himself as the god of darkness and creator of the symbiotes. He is imprisoned in the void and the only thing that can make him come out is the codex, something that Venom has after the symbiote merged with Eddie Brock when saving the latter from death. For this reason he will send his beasts to Earth to capture him.
After a failed mission and a rather clever resolution by the alien, Knull knows he will remain doomed. But despite this, he does not give up: he swears again that he will do everything possible to free himself, leaving open a plea for revenge that could coincide with the symbiote’s promise to meet Brock again.
Will Knull be Marvel’s next big villain? At the moment, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy has only been combined with Venom for a post-credits scene in the second film that made it clear that Eddie Brock saw Spidey through television, although there is no further indication of a future meeting.
Second post-credits scene
Towards the end of the film, and when many viewers were probably not expecting more footage, the action returns. The setting is base 51, now destroyed by everything that happened with the symbiote war, it receives a character who appears at the beginning of the film: the long-haired bartender with whom Eddie Brock interacts in two different universes.
Here he just runs away from the cave he was in, with the camera following him through the rubble. Suddenly, a cockroach – that creature that stars in a dialogue that emphasizes that it belongs to a species capable of surviving any type of catastrophe – is most curious towards what appears to be a remains of a symbiote.
It does not seem to be the same as Venom, although it makes it very clear that the symbiotes are still on Earth and that, therefore, Eddie Brock can once again become the anti-hero who has already starred in three films.
